Premium Vs Regular Gasoline - Is It Worth It?

Five vehicles tested to see if premium gas actually performs better. Every vehicle is tested with both 87 and 91 octane gas, though all of the vehicles recommend using premium gas. There's a car from Europe, the US, and Asia. Some are turbocharged with direct injection while some are naturally aspirated and port injected.

  1. its not just about power efficiency or power gains. running, 87 octane in a car that calls for 93 octane can can cause detonation and potentially cause major damage inside the engine itself. this can be anywhere from melted pistons, build up on the valves, to blown head gaskets. just use what the manufacturer says to use. they are not making money off telling you to use the higher octane, there are engine design reasons behind the recommendation to use it.

  2. Education is the key to every kind of success, and therefore seeing that students in doctorate of philosophy are increasing it clearly shows that people have indeed put much more effort in studying.
